Champion Energy Services is a retail electricity provider competing in one of the most crowded energy markets in the country. As their in-house designer from October 2019 through December 2021, I owned design across every customer-facing touchpoint — digital, print, email, advertising, and social. The work was built around one discipline: keeping the brand cohesive no matter the channel, format, or audience.

Brand Style Guide - Found Benefits

My Role:

Developed a comprehensive brand system for a benefits consulting firm, building on an existing logo and two-brand color foundation to establish a complete, consistent identity. Selected and standardized typography, expanded the color palette, created a full suite of logo variants, and defined brand voice guidelines, giving the client a cohesive framework to unify all marketing collateral and maintain consistency across touchpoints.

Found Benefits Brand Style Guide

Goal

Establish a cohesive brand identity for a solo benefits consultant whose existing materials lacked visual consistency and direction. The client had a logo and two brand colors but no defined system. The goal was to build one that made him look polished and intentional across all touchpoints.

Approach

Audited the existing brand assets and used the logo and core colors as a foundation to build a complete identity system from the ground up. Selected a typography pairing, expanded the color palette, developed a full set of logo variants for flexible usage, and defined brand voice guidelines — all with minimal client direction, requiring strong independent judgment and design decision-making throughout.

Results

Delivered a fully realized brand style guide that gave the client a clear, referenceable system for all future marketing collateral. The client approved the final deliverable without revision requests, resulting in a cohesive brand identity where none had previously existed.

My Role:
Led comprehensive social media design strategy for Gradiant as Senior Marketing Designer, creating diverse visual content across LinkedIn and Instagram to support B2B marketing objectives and maintain consistent brand presence across multiple content categories and campaigns.

Goal

Develop and execute a complete social media visual content strategy that would engage Gradiant's B2B audience across LinkedIn and Instagram platforms, supporting various marketing initiatives from thought leadership and event promotion to community engagement and brand awareness through diverse, professional visual content.

Approach

  • Created comprehensive range of social media content including founder quotes, event announcements for tradeshows/conferences/conventions, and holiday recognition posts (Easter, Eid, etc.)
  • Developed animated content and video clips to enhance engagement and visual storytelling
  • Established and maintained social media series while continuously innovating new post formats and content types
  • Utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to ensure professional design quality and brand consistency across all platforms
  • Tailored content specifically for B2B audience engagement on LinkedIn and Instagram

Results

Delivered a robust, diverse social media content library that successfully supported Gradiant's B2B marketing objectives, maintained consistent brand presence across platforms, and provided the marketing team with a steady stream of professional, engaging visual content for ongoing social media campaigns and initiatives.

Unpublished Concepts

This concept was designed for our Middle East team. They had wanted to advertise our employee's shout out from outside of Gradiant but we were unable to get approval to finalize the concepts.

Employee of the Month

While working as Senior Marketing Designer at Gradiant, I continuously analyzed social media performance metrics to inform new content strategies. Data from our successful "Project win" post series revealed that carousel formats significantly outperformed single-image posts in terms of engagement and reach.

Based on these insights, I developed three innovative carousel concepts that explored data storytelling across 5-image sequences. These designs represented a strategic evolution of our social media approach, incorporating performance-driven design principles while maintaining Gradiant's brand standards. Although these particular concepts were not approved for publication, they demonstrate my ability to translate analytics into creative solutions and push creative boundaries while staying aligned with data-supported content strategies.

These carousel designs showcase my approach to performance-based design thinking and my commitment to continuous innovation in social media content development.

  • Integrated prominent QR codes linking directly to the company's hiring page and individual job postings for immediate candidate engagement
  • Incorporated messaging highlighting Gradiant's global presence and company achievements to attract top talent
  • Simplified the overall design aesthetic to maximize readability and impact in a busy recruitment setting

My Role:
Designed a pair of complementary teardrop flags for Hydrotech to visually demonstrate their pride in being a Gradiant company, creating a cohesive display that celebrated both their individual brand identity and their connection to the parent company.

Goal

Create two teardrop flags that would showcase Hydrotech's unity with Gradiant while maintaining each company's distinct brand identity. The flags needed to work together as a cohesive display demonstrating corporate pride and brand alignment for marketing events and presentations.

Approach

  • Developed a unified design concept using similar imagery that both companies incorporate in their branding
  • Selected strategic color palette that honored each company's brand identity while showing unity: utilized Hydrotech's signature blue (matched to complement Gradiant's color scheme) and Gradiant's primary purple
  • Incorporated "a gradiant company" messaging on the Hydrotech flag to reinforce the corporate relationship
  • Featured Gradiant's "Elevate water" tagline on their flag to communicate the company's core mission and values

Results

Delivered two complementary teardrop flags that successfully balanced individual brand recognition with corporate unity, providing Hydrotech's marketing team with effective display materials that visually communicated both their independence and their proud affiliation with Gradiant.

Create a comprehensive sales kit template in Microsoft Word that would provide the sales team with maximum flexibility while ensuring brand consistency across six distinct market sectors (Food & Beverage, Data Centers, Textiles, Pharmaceutical, Mining & Refining, and Semiconductors) and accommodate both US and European market requirements.

Approach

  • Recreated the existing sales kit template from the ground up using Microsoft Word for optimal user accessibility
  • Designed seven specialized cover variations (six industry-specific plus one generic option)
  • Developed dual-format versions for A4 and 8.5" x 11" specifications to serve global markets
  • Collaborated closely with the sales team throughout the review process to incorporate feedback and ensure alignment with branding standards

Results

Delivered a scalable, user-friendly template system that enabled the sales team to independently create professional, brand-compliant materials for any target market while maintaining design integrity across all applications and geographic regions.

My Role:

As Senior Marketing Designer at Gradiant, I led video content creation from concept through final delivery, managing projects that ranged from ground-up production to post-production refinement. My responsibilities included pre-production planning and talent direction, where I worked directly with subjects to ensure they were comfortable and prepared for filming sessions. During production, I collaborated on capturing footage that would translate effectively across multiple platforms.

In post-production, I handled comprehensive video editing and optimization, transforming raw footage into polished content suitable for social media distribution. This involved cleaning up pre-recorded material, selecting the strongest segments from extensive footage libraries, and tailoring final cuts to meet the specific requirements of various social platforms while maintaining brand consistency.

The resulting video content served dual purposes, functioning both as external social media assets to engage our audience and as internal communications tools to support company initiatives. My role required balancing creative vision with practical constraints, ensuring each video effectively communicated Gradiant's message while performing well within the technical and aesthetic parameters of its intended platform.
